Combining X-ray imaging and diffraction for materials and biomedical characterisations
2023-01-13
CeXS is organizing an international workshop on Combining X-ray imaging and diffraction for materials and biomedical characterisations at KTH on 2nd February 2023.
Combining X-ray imaging and diffraction measurements can provide a more complete way of characterising materials and biomedical phenomena. Many synchrotron facilities, including the PETRA III Swedish beamline, therefore have instrumentation for both imaging and diffraction experiments. Some facilities such as DIAMOND now offer instruments for simultaneous imaging and diffraction experiments.

MAX IV: Quick-EXAFS at BALDER
2021-06-19
At the BALDER beamline of MAX IV, the beamline scientists are working on a new motion control system which will provide a repetition rate of approximately 1 Hz.
MAX IV has started to plan future directions, and we have been asked whether a Quick-EXAFS upgrade of Balder towards 50Hz would be of importance and interest.
Can you think of processes which you would like to observe on this time scale? Do you think such a development would be needed / beneficial?
Please send your replies before the 30th of June to william.brant@kemi.uu.se, who will coordinate our answer.
